Blatter Making First Kick

Opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Cup featured the Gouvernour of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, the President of FIFA Joseph Blatter, and the President of the Football Union of Russia Nikolai Tolstykh.

The guests highly appreciated football tournament in their speeches. They have noted the merit of discovering new football talents, cooperation of the participating states and exchange of experience. The right of the first kick was given to Joseph Blatter who announced the tournament open.
