Comments
Head coach of Estonia team Frank Bernhardt:
– This is our first victory in this tournament. Especially nice we won with the big score – 3:0. In the first half of the match we were attacking carefully, looking back. In the second half, we have become more courageous. Today, my players showed really good football. In fact, I think we showed the best we can in the match with Russia. Frequent substitutions are due to the busy schedule. I need to save the team. By the way, during trainings, in training camp, and just at home, I always emphasize that we have to be a solid team with a common aim. By the way, I even learned the Estonian anthem to sing together with the team.
Coach of Turkmenistan team Ahmed Agamuradov:
– It is difficult to make any conclusions after the match. Match was not to bad, at least one hour and a half. Missing a goal we immediately gave up. You see, our main problem is in psychology attitude. After earning four points during the group stage, having played a draw with Russia, many of our players have already imagined themselves as participants in the quarterfinals, making the appropriate plans. In accordance with the tournament table we found out that we would play only for 9-12 places. My team got strong knock down. The guys were mentally broken down today. Perhaps the coaching staff did not set them up right afterwards to continue the struggle. Well, we will make conclusions. The most important thing in this tournament is a chance to see all players. Many of them for the first playing in national team, some of them never had been to Russia. It is very good here! It is evident that development of football progresses. Actually we are train some payers from our team to play in Russia. Have you noticed that we communicate with each other in Russian? Who knows, maybe really soon you will see Turkmenistan football star in your Premier League.
